High level conference on religious freedom in the Middle East

2. Declaration on the occasion of his visit to Cyprus
„Today I have held meetings with the President and the Foreign Minister of Cyprus to discuss bilateral relations between Cyprus and Turkey and their implications for Turkey’s accession process and EU/NATO relations. These have been very fruitful meetings which proves the willingness of our Cypriot friends to overcome the current stalemate. I sincerely hope that they will be met with equal open-mindedness by our Turkish partners“ sais EB at the end of his visit to Cyprus.
